Random Spew

So it's Sunday and I'm just sitting in front of the computer, thinking "What can I do until Heidi wakes up?" I've been playing around on the computer (read: surfing porn), watching TV, ocassionally getting up for a cigarette.

I've been hearing and reading about all these "boycotts" planned against Exxon, Shell, Citgo, etc., etc., etc.. I just want to say one thing: It will never work. No matter how much you think it will, it won't. People will still buy gas. They will still need gas.

And if you think the solution is for everyone to buy more fuel-efficient cars, let me ask you something: Where do you think those cars are made? The exact same factories that make the "gas-guzzler" cars. So you really aren't helping out in any way. Think also about the industries which rely on fuel consumption every day. I work at a place where I regularly fuel up, almost on a daily basis. It just burns my ass to think that someone else thinks they have the right to control what I do. Don't tell me to boycott gas stations. I depend on them. The nation depends on them.

In my opinion, if you want to buy gas from wherever it is, go buy gas from them. If you don't want to buy gas from them, don't. If you think we should all boycott the gas stations, shut the hell up and ride a damn bike.
