The End is Near!

Yes, that's right, the end is near! The end of the year, that is. :D December made itself known to me last night about this time by switching the weather from rain to snow flurries. Not enough to make a big impact, but a good enough show nonetheless. At first, I couldn't tell whether it was raining or not. Although there was none of the usual sound of raindrops hitting the pavement, the snow was falling like rain, nearly straight down. Then, I saw it. It seemed to slow a little, then reverse direction, then fall down again. YES! I saw the first snow of the year!

Okay, moving on....

I've been sorta rambling on lately about Heidi, my girlfriend. "Sorta" in the sense that I haven't really said much about her, except in songs written by other people. Well, now, I will put my own words to good use:

I love you, Heidi. But more than that, I am in love with you. I will always be in love with you, and I will always love you. I am proud of you for all your accomplishments, I respect you because of all the obstacles you've overcome.

I love you "despite and because of" your imperfections. I love you "straightforward, without complexities or pride."

You are the perfect woman for me, one who will be happy for me when I'm up, support me when I'm down, and never question the fact that I love you. You will always be a part of me.

And now for the song:

There are places I remember all my life,
Though some have changed,
Some forever, not for better,
Some have gone and some remain.

All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall.
Some are dead and some are living.
In my life I've loved them all.

But of all these friends and lovers,
There is no one compares with you,
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new.

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think about them,
In my life I'll love you more.

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before,
I know I'll often stop and think about them,
In my life I'll love you more.

In my life I'll love you more.
